| Procedures for Obtaining an Oklahoma |
- Complete an approved SDA Concealed Carry Course
such as the one offered by SMF Solutions. - Request an application from OSBI by calling 1-800-207-
6724. - Complete the application and provide a method of
payment (Cashier's Check, Money Order, or Credit Card)
of the $100.00 application fee. - Enclose 2 Recent Passport Photos (Easily obtained at
stores such as Wal-Mart, Walgreens, or other stores with
a full service photo lab). - Present completed application packet to the sheriff's
office in the county in which you reside. - Pay a $25.00 fingerprinting fee to the sheriff's office at
time of application.
The sheriff's office will mail the application and your permit will
be returned to their office when issued. You will then be
required to pick the permit up from the sheriff's office. When
you renew your permit (after the first 5 years) your permit will
be returned directly to you.
The maximum cost allowed by law (excluding the cost of the
passport photos) is $185.00 for initial applications. Passport
photos usually run around $10.00.
